Since my TEDx Talk, there’s been a lot of activity, including being featured in PEOPLE Magazine, which has the largest U.S. audience of any magazine brand. In the October 31, 2022 issue of PEOPLE, the groundbreaking stories of Hope Sittler and me, co-founders of the non-profit 5WAVES.org, are revealed to a national audience. Hope’s story as a parent coping with sibling sexual trauma in her family, and my story as an adult survivor of sibling sexual abuse, are raising awareness of a silent, global epidemic. PEOPLE also released three digital stories expanding on the print article.
